Friends in Low Places

It is said that Ono no Takamura worked in the Imperial Court by day, and in hell by night. Many tales of his exploits are told, including one of a nobleman who went to hell having died unexpectedly, and was returned to life thanks to Takamura's intervention. It's also said that he passed between the two realms via the well at Rokudo-chinnoji Temple, of all places.
