Launch bonus change
When Capcom moved the release forward, it changed the digital pre-order offer into an early-adopter bonus available through September 25 or 26 depending on time zone. The base bundle contains the Lion Dog charm and Sealed Curse sword appearance. Deluxe and Premium Deluxe add the White Monkey charm and White Lion sword appearance.
Is it a remake, sequel, or reboot?
Capcom describes Way of the Sword as an all-new entry and the first new Onimusha title in more than 20 years. It tells a separate Edo-period Kyoto story starring Miyamoto Musashi, so newcomers can start here.
