A Wife's Prayer

On the grounds of Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a small hall that houses Yashajin, a god once feared for its violent temper, but now worshiped as a guardian deity responsible for purging bad karma and bestowing blessings on those who call on its divine protection. It is said that when Yashajin is unable to purge a person of bad karma, they will lay a terrible curse upon the source of that karma.
