Kiyomizu-zaka is the pilgrim road climbing toward Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Musashi later reaches it from a different direction after completing missions elsewhere in Kyoto.
Capcom identifies the slope as the key to unlocking much of the city. Reopening it links the temple route to the larger campaign and clears a path toward districts still behind demonic barriers.
