The Oni within Musashi's gauntlet
The Oni Lady, addressed as Shizuka in the story, lives inside Miyamoto Musashi's Oni Gauntlet. She speaks to him from the artifact, explains its powers, and can appear before him.
After Musashi closes the Rifts and awakens her, The Oni's Apprentice begins his search for the gauntlet's hidden powers. In A Strength in Refuge, she directs him to another source of Oni strength. Each discovery opens further skill upgrades.
