The monster of Mount Oe
Shuten Doji occupies a fortress on Mount Oe. Reports of attacks and kidnappings draw Musashi there during The Demon on the Mount, after Dokyo sends Takamura a disturbing package of food and wine.
The Mysteries of Kyoto collection recounts the older legend: Yorimitsu's warriors enter Shuten Doji's keep disguised as monks, use sacred sake to weaken him, and survive his severed head's attack with a divine helm. These historical-mystery entries are separate from Musashi's boss encounter.
